ARCHER FUSIONPLEX PAN SOLID TUMOR V2 PANEL

Gene Fusion Detection Testing for glioblastoma and other brain tumors

What is Archer fusionplex pan solid tumor v2 panel

The Archer FusionPlex Pan Solid Tumor v2 Panel is an RNA-based next-generation sequencing (NGS) test designed to detect gene fusions, splice variants, and expression imbalances across 137 cancer-related genes. It uses Anchored Multiplex PCR (AMP™) technology, which allows detection of known and novel fusions without prior knowledge of the fusion partner.
This panel is especially useful in solid tumors like glioblastoma, where the presence of oncogenic fusions and splicing events may guide targeted therapy or confirm diagnosis.

WHY IT MATTERS FOR GLIOBLASTOMA PATIENTS

For glioblastoma and other solid tumors, the information from this test is clinically valuable because:
  • It can identify gene fusions that may be driving tumor growth.
  • It can identify actionable gene fusions that predict response to targeted therapies (e.g., FGFR, NTRK inhibitors, etc.)
  • It can help detect specific gene fusions enabling patients to enroll in targeted therapy trials.
  • It reveals molecular mechanisms of tumorigenesis and resistance to treatment.
Fusion events are increasingly relevant as druggable targets across tumor types, including glioblastoma, where treatments are limited.
Identify actionable fusions

It can identify gene fusions diriving tumor growth and pinpoint actionable mutations that guide treatment decisions.

Personalized treatment

It can expand targeted therapy treatment options (e.g., FGFR, NTRK inhibitors, etc.) based on the molecular features of a glioblastoma tumor.

Molecular mechanisms

It reveals molecular mechanisms of tumorigenesis and esistance

Clinical trials

It can help match patients to clinical trials based on specific fusion mutations.
